Go to sites like Amazon which publish proper customer reviews, both positive and negative, to get a balance of opinion.

Also you might find if you have coarser hair, home laser hair removal is not suitable for you and you need the strength of professional laser equipment to deal with it, whereas the equipment might work perfectly on someone with finer hair.
