I have to confess I never tried Brazilian hair removal in my life. I’m such a coward. The whole idea is a pain too far for me even after going through childbirth twice – and maybe because I no longer wear the tiny skimpy bikinis that I could a few years ago as a result of said childbirth it never seems quite the necessity that it might otherwise have done. A bit of tidying up down there in the summertime is as much as I get time for these days and I confess it does feel good when I wear my swimsuit and there are no stragglers showing, so I quite understand if Brazilian bikini hair removal is something you want to look into.
There are only really a couple of processes that you can use for genital hair removal if you want the full Brazilian (leaving just a thin “landing strip” of hair at the front), which is what you really need if you want no hair showing at all in the tiniest of bikinis and especially if you wear a thong.
Brazilian Wax Hair Removal
This is the most common form of Brazilian and it is easy to find a beauty therapist experienced in the procedure at most salons. The more experienced the therapist the more they will put you at your ease, carry out the process as painlessly as possible and do what they can to protect your modesty during the treatment difficult though that is given where you’re removing hair from. Friends who have this done tell me that there is nothing to fear about the pain. It is quickly over and then forgotten and then they are delighted with the results which last for about 4 weeks. Feel free to have a go and share your experiences by leaving a comment!
Brazilian Laser Hair Removal
Now I think if I was going to have a Brazilian I would be saving up my money for this because after a few sessions you experience a reduction in hair growth which might very well mean not having to deal with the pubic hair problem again or just having a few top up treatments to keep things neat. And by all accounts this is less painful than waxing “down there”. The cost of Brazilian bikini laser hair removal will be around $1000 for a few sessions so it’s not cheap but if you add up the cost of getting waxed regularly it will easily pay for itself over a few years. Lasers have become more effective in recent years and if you have a good technician you should get some great results with it.
Other Brazilian Hair Removal Methods
As for other methods you could shave but you are likely to get a rash and the area is awkward to deal with. I would say fine for a trim but not for a full Brazilian. As for depilatory cream it is fine (and effective) for the bikini line but there is no such thing as a Brazilian hair removal cream. The chemicals in the cream are not made for use on your more sensitive areas.
