A 20 year old woman in Australia had to be admitted to the emergency room and nearly died two weeks after having a bikini wax treatment at her local salon.
The woman had type 1 diabetes which meant that she was more prone to suffer from infection – but anyone with a compromised immune system should also be aware of bikini wax risks.
The woman was allowed home after 10 days in hospital – a huge price to pay for a beauty treatment which was just meant to remove unwanted hair.
Always make sure you go to a reputable salon for any type of waxing and keep the area clean after waxing to reduce risks from bikini line and Brazilian waxing.
Also if you do have any unusual symptoms after attending a beauty clinic for a procedure such as bikini hair removal or any kind of invasive procedure, be sure to get to your doctor right away and not wait until things take a serious turn.
