If you’re nervous about bikini waxing, this account by student Casey Smirniotopoulos may just set your mind at rest.
She goes into great detail about the whole bikini waxing procedure and gives 7 helpful hints about making the process go smoothly and getting a bikini wax with less pain and embarrassment.
Update April 2011 : I have removed the link to Casey’s post as the article is no longer available. It has disappeared somewhere into the black hole of the Internet since I posted up the link in 2007.
It’s sad how much good useful material goes missing and how much nonsense about hair removal fills up the web in its place. Never mind, I digress. Here is a page to make up for it, with a couple of personal accounts of bikini line waxing with just as many helpful hints that should set your mind at ease if you are going for first time bikini waxing.
Also you’ll find an experience of bikini line laser hair removal there, which did not seem to be that effective in this case, with hair being removed but gradually growing back fully. The waxing tips here are from a couple of ladies who have tried both home waxing solutions and professional salon bikini line waxing. Of course it’s a lot cheaper to do it yourself at home but it takes courage, and a lot of it, to rip off the wax and take your hair with it so at least the first time, use a salon even if it is costly. Then once you are used to how the procedure feels and you have had a few sessions so that it has become easier you can have a go at DIY bikini line waxing.
