Getting married? When to start Hair Removal treatment

The article in the link below has a whole time line for getting ready for your wedding – a time when you really want to look your best. No bride wants a mustache, sideburns or hairy legs and you want to look your best in your bridal underwear and honeymoon bikini for your husband.

The suggestion is that you start laser hair removal treatments about 12 months prior to the ceremony. This will mean that you have got rid of most of your hair by the big day and may need just a top up treatment a couple of weeks before, if you have any regrowth.

For most beauty treatments which might cause a skin reaction, such as waxing, you will also need to judge the time between treatments quite well so that you are nice and smooth for your honeymoon without being too hairy on the run up to your wedding – don’t want to put hubbie off with too much stubble !

But allow at least a few days before your wedding to allow your skin to settle down in case you have a reaction to the hair removal treatment. If you start your treatments a year before this gives you a chance to see how your skin reacts in general and how fast your hair regrows and so you can judge everything nicely.

Obviously don’t start using a new product, no matter how fantastic it is reported to be, within a month before your wedding or you might deeply regret the experiment and always follow the instructions carefully so you don’t do any damage to your skin.
